Vacuum casting, also known as silicone casting or prototype casting, serves as an economical alternative to small-batch injection molding for plastic parts. This process achieves results similar to injection molding production, enabling rapid replication of 1-500 parts without the need for steel molds,which is very cost effective and efficient for fast marketing.

How does Vacuum Casting works
Master built in CNC or SLA

Master built in CNC or SLA

Prototype is made by CNC or 3D printing, used as the master for silicone tooling.
Making PU Mold

Making PU Mold

Liquid silicone is poured over the prototype to create a detailed silicone mold once fully cured.
Demolding

Demolding

The cured silicone mold is opened and the master part is removed, preserving all surface and dimensional features.
Duplicate Fabrication

Duplicate Fabrication

Casting material is poured into the silicone mold to produce low-volume parts that closely resemble the final production components.

±0.2% (with a lower limit on ± 0.2 mm on dimensions smaller than 100 mm)
Minimum wall thickness
To ensure that the mold is filled properly, a wall thickness of at least 0.75 mm is necessary. For best results, we recommend a wall thickness of at least 1.5 mm
Maximum part dimensions
The size of the mold is limited by the dimensions of the vacuum chamber (1900 x 900 x 750 mm) and by the volume of the product (maximum volume: 10 liters)
